Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to help all their consumers reach their goals and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These models are often hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These units come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work site.
Some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers in order to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to need many more man power to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have really increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling business.
